CR-758Shandong Xianghai Chloride-Process Titanium Dioxide is a chloride-route rutile TiO₂ pigment typically supplied as a white powder. Chloride-process rutile grades are widely recognized for low impurity levels, high whiteness and brightness, and stable undertone, making them well-suited for high-performance coating and plastic applications. In formulations, CR-758 can deliver excellent opacity (hiding power) and high tinting strength, enhancing the finished product’s whiteness, brightness, and gloss while contributing to a cleaner, more consistent base color.
To optimize processing behavior, CR-758 is generally engineered with surface treatments, commonly including inorganic coatings (such as silica and/or alumina) combined with organic treatment. These treatments are designed to improve wetting and dispersion, reduce oil absorption, and support more stable rheology, which helps minimize agglomeration and speeds up dispersion during high-speed mixing or milling. As a result, users may achieve smoother appearance, better leveling, improved resistance to floating/flooding, and more consistent batch-to-batch performance. Rutile TiO₂ also offers strong weather resistance, heat resistance, and chemical resistance, helping reduce risks of chalking, fading, or discoloration in outdoor exposure or harsh service conditions, thereby improving long-term durability.
CR-758 is suitable for architectural and industrial coatings, powder coatings, coil coatings, printing inks, and plastic masterbatches/compounds (PVC, PP, PE, ABS, etc.), as well as papermaking, adhesives, and rubber products. For best results, pre-wet the pigment with the resin/solvent system, select a compatible dispersant, and apply high-speed dispersion or milling to reach the desired fineness and maximize opacity and color consistency. Store in a cool, dry place with tight sealing, protect from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight, and follow MSDS guidance for safe handling.
